February is the perfect time to be planning for those new spring flower or vegetable gardens.  To make things easier and for tracking purposes a Garden Journal is just the right tool!  Whether you like pen and paper or an online format we have found some great free journals to get your project started.

For printable Journals go to the following:
Homestead Garden.com   Look down the left hand side for the printable garden journal.
Aribco.com also has a printable journal

For On-Line Journals go to the following:
Daves Garden.com You must set up an account but it is free.  Choose the tool tab from the menu bar.
Greenthumbjournal.com is another good one.

Children who help plan, plant and grow gardens are more likely to eat more fruits and vegetables!!

Don't forget you can soon plant cold weather crops here in the valley!  Good choices are Brocolli, Brussel Sprouts, Celery, Lettuce, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Parsley, Radish and Peas!
